Jena and Alex’s Baha’i ceremony – Victoria, Australia, Free the Bird Photography

A bit about the couple from this simple and amazing outdoor wedding: “We are both casual and fairly easy going and wanted our wedding day to represent that. Our love for nature and natural beauty meant that we both wanted our wedding to be held outdoors, and we were lucky enough to discover a quaint and delightfully peaceful farm to hold the ceremony. The day was informal, with many quests arriving early to get ready with us. We decided very early on that our wedding would be small, simple and personal. We invited family and close friends to share the day with us, and felt that each guest contributed a unique and irreplacable element to the experience.

We had a Baha’i ceremony which took place under a 150 year old oak tree, which was perfect for providing much needed shade given that it was a 43 degree day.
After the ceremony we went to a near by railway station to have some photos taken with our photographer. We were both slightly camera shy but it was lots of fun and a great chance for us to spend some time together as a newly married couple.

The reception was held at Mt. Rael Retreat. We always intended to have all of our guests sit at one table, and we felt it worked really well to create an atmosphere for comfort and closeness. There was no formal schedule for the evening, we just enjoyed a delicious meal, great music played by various friends, and the company of our 40 guests.”

Engagement photos – it’s a family affair

Sometimes getting married is more than just about having a wedding and two becoming “one”. For some of us it’s a blending of two families to create one new one.  So when you get your engagement photos taken, you might want to consider including your kids (and dogs!) in a couple shots.

We do recommend that you have someone there with you that can take the kids and go off someplace else as not to become a distraction to your personal photos.  You know, sometimes kids can be a bit of a romantic buzzkill.;)

Paige and Joe’s Brainerd, MN NP Event Space wedding

Paige and Joe began dating in 9th grade and have been together ever since. When you start to date as kids, and then grow and change into adults all while continuing to feed and grow your love – the result is a relationship and love that is rich with many layers and history woven in.

They dated long distance for five years during college and managed to not only continue their relationship but made it thrive despite the challenges that come with long distance. Now, they live in Idaho where they continue to make new memories as they explore the diverse nature opportunities that their new states presents.

Not only are Paige and Joe incredibly beautiful people [inside and out!] but they are some of the most genuinely nice people ever. Their wedding day reflected that as many, many people gathered to celebrate their marriage that was a long time coming. Throw in a hysterical wedding party and one of the most beautiful venues that Brainerd, Minnesota has to offer, The Northern Pacific Center, also known as The NP Event Space, Paige and Joe’s wedding was a day they will never forget.
